Title: Deployment Technician
Department: Engineering
Location: Columbus, OH

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Summary:
IP Pathways is experiencing explosive company growth! In fact, we’ve doubled in size over the last couple of years and we’d like to consider you for a position on our growing team! The Deployment Technician is responsible for the imaging and deployment of systems to end users. This includes the documentation and tracking of assets for each client’s project. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently and on a team, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
• Assists in deploying desktop workstations, laptops, and other devices.
• Assists or provides network administration functions such as implementing Outlook accounts, managing data, modifying network profiles, and recovering passwords.
• Provides project management support and maintains project data to keep ongoing projects on schedule.
• Creates and provides reports to supervisors and other team members that detail the status of projects and the location of organizational assets.
• Troubleshoots any issue that may come up related to network operations and end-user support.
• Configures settings on Windows workstations.
• Performs backups & restores data on devices as needed.

• Works with new members of the organization to understand the capabilities and limitations of working on the network.
• Replaces or migrates data on new or old computers.
• Communicates with end users to identify areas where the migration process can be better explained or modified.
• Maintains PC roll out tasks and processes to make sure the project remained within the schedule.
• Facilitates repairs and provides technical support with LAN/WAN equipment and wiring.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:
• Computer skills required: Contract Management Systems, Inventory Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software, Imaging Software
• Prior experience supporting a variety of desktop and network applications.
• Extensive computer knowledge and experience.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Aptitude to learn quickly and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to work independently to manage priorities and workflow yet within company guidelines.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards while maintaining a high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Education and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Abilities Required:
• Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to stand.
• Frequently required to walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in high, precarious places. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds
