About Us
Hago Technologies is an early-stage tech startup building the modern infrastructure for everyday services by reimagining how local work is discovered, delivered, and scaled. Hago is designed to be better for customers and built for workers. We’re gearing up for a Spring launch, and building the supply side of the marketplace is one of our most important priorities.
We’re looking for a motivated hustler to serve as Operations Intern who’s excited to help shape the foundation of our provider network, craft the playbooks we’ll scale with, and work directly with the founders to bring our marketplace to life.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in helping build, streamline, and operate the supply side of the marketplace. Your responsibilities may include:
Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding
- Identify and research high-quality independent service providers across key categories
- Assist in outreach campaigns, communication, and relationship development
- Support onboarding flows, documentation, and provider experience improvements
Marketplace Operations & Strategy
- Help map supply-side workflows and operational processes
- Analyze gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities to create a balanced supply-demand ecosystem
- Assist in building the operational playbooks we’ll use for launch and scale
Quality & Trust Operations
- Support the creation of qualification standards, provider requirements, and compliance steps
- Work with the founders to evaluate early provider quality and readiness
- Contribute to developing policies that maintain a high standard of service across the platform
Launch Preparation
- Help set launch goals, readiness checklists, and operational milestones
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform supply strategy
- Assist with early growth activities and experiment tracking
This role combines research, execution, process building, and hands-on marketplace operations.
What You’ll Gain
This is a rare opportunity to work on the ground floor of a marketplace startup and contribute directly to its launch. You’ll gain:
- Experience building the backbone of a supply-driven business
- Exposure to marketplace dynamics, unit economics, and strategy
- Ownership of meaningful projects from start to finish
- Mentorship directly from the founders
- A portfolio-ready case study or project output
- Insight into how real startups launch, iterate, and scale
- Potential for extended work or a part-time role as we grow
Who You Are
- A student or early-career professional interested in operations, strategy, or startups
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful
- Comfortable communicating with external partners or service providers
- Curious about how marketplace businesses function and scale
- Energized by problem-solving, systems thinking, and building from scratch
- Able to dedicate ~20 – 25 hours per week, flexible and negotiable
- Bonus: experience in customer service, operations, or project management (not required)
